MacK1 Locating Services
MacK1 Locating Services is a West Australian owned and operated Underground Service Locating and Subsurface Asset Mapping Company.
We combine Electromagnetic Locating, Ground Penetrating Radar, Vacuum Excavation and High-Accuracy Survey to locate, verify and map underground infrastructure with confidence.
From individual service investigations to complex project sites, we turn what's beneath the ground into accurate, usable data.
Our Foundation
Accurate subsurface information starts in the field. At MacK1 Locating Services, we combine proven locating technologies, high-accuracy survey equipment and structured data workflows to deliver reliable information about what lies beneath your site.
AS5488
Aligned Classification
We apply the principles of AS5488 to classify subsurface utility information according to the quality and confidence of the data available, providing a consistent framework for understanding what has been located and how it has been established.
Multiple
Detection Technologies
No single locating technology can identify every underground service in every condition. We combine Electromagnetic (EM) Locating, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Vacuum Excavation and Survey Techniques to provide the most comprehensive picture possible.

Built for Simplicity or Complexity
From individual service investigations to large infrastructure projects, MacK1 provides a scalable approach.
Detect, Define, Data
Detection is only part of the process. Where required, services can be physically exposed through vacuum excavation and accurately surveyed to establish their position, depth and characteristics.
Survey-Grade Data
Our field data is captured using high-accuracy GNSS and Total Station equipment and processed through structured GIS and CAD workflows, allowing subsurface information to be delivered in formats that integrate directly into project design and asset management systems.
Precision & Honesty is our foundation.
Reliable subsurface Information is the Outcome.
Who MacK1 Supports
Underground infrastructure doesn't stop being important because the project is complex, time-critical or already under construction. MacK1 Locating Services provides underground service locating, verification and subsurface asset mapping across a range of infrastructure, construction and asset management environments.

Engineering-Compatible Data
Our deliverables are designed to work within the environments project teams already use. Information can be provided in CAD, GIS and BIM formats, suitable for integration with platforms such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS and other project systems.
Defensible Methodology
We document the methods used to establish subsurface information, including detection techniques, survey methods, verification activities and relevent site conditions. This creates a clearer relationship between what was found, how it was established and how confidently it can be relied upon.
Qualified Professionals
Our work is performed by experienced CertLoc Certified professionals using purpose-built detection, survey and excavation equipment. We continually develop our technical capability as locating technology, data standards and subsurface investigations practices evolve.
Digital Subsurface Intelligence
MacKSi is built around a single idea: Subsurface information should become more valuable over time, not less. Structured, accurately captured and appropriately attributed information can be retained, referenced and built upon as projects progress and infrastructure changes.
